‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ has made its first official public appearance, as Walt Disney Studios has released the photos from this morning’s panel at Star Wars Celebration Orlando. Fans in attendance at the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ panel at the Florida-based convention were treated to an exciting look at the anticipated next episode in the action-adventure saga for the first time.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, which has also unveiled photos from yesterday’s ’40 Years of Star Wars’ panel, is set to distribute ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ in theaters on December 15. The eighth episode in the acclaimed franchise was written and directed by ‘Looper’ scribe-helmer, Rian Johnson. The epic fantasy film stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando was hosted by surprise moderator and ‘Star Wars’ superfan, actor Josh Gad. The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Frozen’ star was joined on stage by producer Kathleen Kennedy, Johnson, Ridley, Boyega, Hamill, BB-8 and Tran, who made her first appearance on the Celebration stage.

The first official teaser trailer and teaser poster from ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ also debuted during Star Wars Celebration Orlando.
