Mania.com has some new information about a brand-new “The Crow” movie, the latest in the franchise started by the 1989 comic book by James O’Barr and now-infamous 1994 movie starring Brandon Lee. Announced in 2008 and being directed by Stephen Norrington (”Blade”, “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”), Norrington told Mania.com that his film, contrary to rumors, would not be a remake of the original story, but rather about a “a whole new story, about a whole new character” according to their source. Columbia Pictures has moved the release date of Michel Gondry’s comic book adaptation of “The Green Hornet” back two weeks, from June 25th, 2010 to July 9th, 2010. Stephen Chow is also set to star. The character of the Green Hornet was first created for radio serials in the 1930’s, before spinning off into comic strips, books, and a live-action show as well, which featured Bruce Lee in the role of the Hornet’s chauffer/sidekick, the [...]

Universals Creature of the Black Lagoon a Hit
The all new Universal Studios attraction “The Creature from the Black Lagoon-A Raging Rockin’ Show” was a surprisingly good show. I expected a kid friendly comedy show but was happily disappointed. It had a lot of fun stuff for kids but it also had some “undercover” humor for the adults. The singing (it is a musical) was exceptional, the costumes were great, and the set design was awesome. It was a very funny script with some amazing swimming scenes and a great surprise at the end. Definitely one of Universal Studios best stage production attraction ever! “Creature From the Black Lagoon-A Raging Rockin’ Show” is a hip, musical stage adaptation of [...]

Despite numerous legal difficulties surrounding the rights to the property, Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are “moving forward”, according to IGN, with plans to remake “Oldboy”, by Chan-wook Park.
