An anonymous source to /film has leaked that Cartoon Network has picked up the comic book “Firebreather”, for either an animated/CGI TV movie or an ongoing series. The source connects Peter Chung (Aeon Flux, Reign: The Conqueror) to the “Firebreather” adaptation in the director’s role.

“Firebreather” is an Image Comics title created by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn focusing on the life of a teenage half-dragon, whose mother is human but whose father is the King Of Monsters who’d want nothing more than his son to inherit his title. The story began in a 2003 mini-series, as well as a 2004 one-shot. An ongoing series started in May 2008, all from Image.
