Gael Garcia Bernal is in negotiations to join Kate Hudson in the cast of the romantic film “Earthbound,” about a terminally ill woman who falls in love with her doctor.

The film is set to go into production January 18th, 2010.

Nicole Kassell is directing the project off of a script by Gren Wells. John Davis, Mark Gill, Robert Katz and Adam Schroeder will produce the project, with Neil Sacker and Michael Goguen executive producing. “Earthbound” will be financed by Gill and Sacker’s The Film Department.
