Lynn Collins, who will be starring in “The Burning Plain”, the upcoming planned live-action adaptation of the “John Carter, Warlord of Mars” franchise recently talked to MTV about the Edgar Rice Burroughs space fantasy classic.

Collins said she’s already seen preliminary work of fight sequences she’ll be involved with, and says about the preproduction;

“We’re actually getting into some hair and makeup tests this week to see what the look is like, [...] It’s really collaborative and really creative and I’m really excited about it.”

Collins’ co-star in the film will be her “X-Men Orgins: Wolverine” costar Taylor Kitsch. Kitsch will be portraying the title character, a Civil War vet inexplicably transported to the Red Planet of Mars, where he has all sorts of adventures.
