‘Friday Night Lights’ actor Scott Porter has revealed to Parade magazine that he regrets not auditioning for the hit FOX show ‘Glee.’ During the time of auditions, the 30-year-old felt it was time to move on from high school roles, but now says that it was a stupid move to turn roles based on one characteristic. Porter, who is best known for his role as high school football player Jason Street on the critically acclaimed NBC drama based on the movie and book, left ‘Friday Night Lights’ in 2008. David Goyer has been confirmed as writing the new Superman movie, which will be titled “The Man of Steel”. A new Superman film, rumored to be a “reboot” of the franchise based on the popular DC Comics character, has been in talks since 2006′s “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Routhe and directed by Bryan Singer (neither of whom will be returning to the franchise). Goyer, who has also worked on the “Blade” movies and the “Demonic Toys” and “Puppetmaster” franchises, is also attached to assist with the story to the third Christopher Nolan “Batman” movie. Mickey Rourke Confirmed For Conan

Mickey Rourke (“The Wrestler”, “Iron Man 2″) has been confirmed to join the cast of Marcus Nispel’s “Conan,” playing the father of the titular character. Rourke joins Jason Momoa and Leo Howard in the Lionsgate film, the latest adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s pulp barbarian hero of a lost era. The film, which stars filming March 15th in Bulgaria, is about Conan’s quest to avenge the slaughter of his people.
