David Goyer has been confirmed as writing the new Superman movie, which will be titled “The Man of Steel”. A new Superman film, rumored to be a “reboot” of the franchise based on the popular DC Comics character, has been in talks since 2006′s “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Routhe and directed by Bryan Singer (neither of whom will be returning to the franchise). Mickey Rourke (“The Wrestler”, “Iron Man 2″) has been confirmed to join the cast of Marcus Nispel’s “Conan,” playing the father of the titular character. Rourke joins Jason Momoa and Leo Howard in the Lionsgate film, the latest adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s pulp barbarian hero of a lost era.
