Max Irons has joined the cast of “Girl With the Red Riding Hood”, with Julie Christie and Gary Oldman in talks to join as well.
Irons is joining Amanda Seyfried and Shiloh Fernandez in the Catherine Hardwicke-directed film, which tackles the classic Little Red Riding Hood myth as a young lady living in a medieval village that is beset by a werewolf.
Seyfried is slated to play the woman, with Fernandez will playing an orphaned woodcutter/axeman who falls in love with Seyfried’s character. Irons, the song of actor Jeremy Irons, is slated to play the son of a blacksmith who is to marry Seyfried’s character.
Christie would play Seyfried’s grandmother, and Oldman would play werewolf hunter Father Soloman.
