Actress Heather Morris is claiming that she’s being considered to portray Buffy Summers in the new ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ remake, Cinemablend.com is reporting. While Joss Whedon, the creator and showrunner of the ‘Buffy’ television series, isn’t attached to the project and doesn’t support it, the project is still moving forward with Morris possibly on board.

Morris, who is best known for playing cheerleader Brittany S. Pierce on ‘Glee,’ told ‘Access Hollywood’ that “They’re considering me!” She added that she was so excited over the news that “I almost peed my pants!”

While Morris’ statement seemed to confirm previous internet rumors over her involvement, screenwriter Whit Anderson, who’s set to pen the remake, said “We’re not event think about casting yet…The script isn’t even written!” He also tweeted “Careful what you retweet…Inaccuracy can cause lots of unnecessary stress.”
