And that’s a wrap on our Motörhead giveaway! Last week, in honor of Motörhead’s banker butt-kicking music video for “Get Back in Line,” we asked you to tell us how you’re beating the economic downturn. While cutting back on expenditures is one of the smartest moves, we opted to go with something that involves, well, a tactic that’s not recommended, cheating on your taxes. Clearly that’s a major no no, but there’s nothing wrong with singing a song about it.

Congratulation’s to our winning submission from Braunlein1, a quote from a Steve Earle song ‘Amerika v. 6.0 (The Best We Can Do).’ The entire song is quite appropriate for this topic, but Braunlein1 went with “I remember we were both out on the boulevard talking Revolution and singing the blues. Nowadays it’s letters to the editor and cheating on our taxes and that’s the best that we can do.” What can we learn from these lyrics? Well, maybe not how to ease the blow of the current economic situation, but perhaps that we could make the best of it through art and music.

Congratulations to Braunlein1 for snagging The Wörld Is Yours on CD/DVD and vinyl. Keep an eye out for more Shockya.com giveaways.
