According to the Daily Blam!, Gary Oldman, who is reprising his role as Commissioner Gordon in the “Dark Knight Rises”, has released some details about the film.

Aside from calling the storyline “fantastic” despite not admitting to reading the script yet, Oldman gave a few words on Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

“I think she’ll probably wear the cat suit pretty well, don’t you?” he said. “I know the story, I just think it’s going to be terrific. [But] if I told you who the villain was, they’d kill me.”

He also went on to give some details on the type of villain we’ll be seeing:

“I think it’s a villain from one of the old, old, from way back from the old comics. It is a Batman villian… It’s not going to be the Joker.”

As far as villains go, Tom Hardy has already been cast as Bane and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is rumored to be playing a mob boss who tries to take control of the underworld the Joker left in shambles.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is the next installment of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” series, which has been lauded as successfully rebooting the “Batman” movie property. Also starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Christian Bale, the film is set to be in theaters July 20, 2012.
