‘Bourne Identity’ star Matt Damon has shaved his head completely bald for his role in director Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Elysium’.  The science fiction picture, that is slim on plot details, is said to take place more than a hundred years in the future, following Damon as an ex-con in a world that is rumored to be threatened by the “colonization of aliens.”  The District 9 director, Blomkamp, also wrote the script.  Talking about his new project late last year, Matt Damon did divulge a little of what fans can expect to see:

“I’ve never done anything quite like this and I kind of responded to what’s out there and what’s in and what’s good. The movie is going to be good, he showed me basically the entire world which he’s going to build and it’s really, really exciting. And I can’t wait!”

Currently shooting in Vancouver, Damon was seen with his new look while taking a break from filming.  Also joining the ‘Good Will Hunting’ performer is long time actress Jodie Foster, who is said t be in charged of the alien race, Sharlto Copley, William Fichtner and Alice Braga.  Neill Blomkamp’s top secret ‘Elysium’ will open in theaters on March 1, 2013.
