ShockYa met up recently with actor Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman) on the Spike TV Scream Awards 2011 red carpet. In this interview, Paul Reubens talks with ShockYa’s Brandy Barnum about his upcoming Pee-Wee Herman feature film produced by Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids, Get Him to the Greek, Pineapple Express) being distributed by Universal. According to Variety, Paul Reubens will be co-writing the script with Paul Rust (The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway).

Judd Apatow tells variety, “Let’s face it, the world needs more Pee-wee Herman.”.

Paul Reuben’s 1985 film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” by director Tim Burton and scored by Danny Elfman grossed over $40 million dollars worldwide. Followed by the 1988 film Big Top Pee-wee and a very successful television series “Pee-wee’s Playhouse”.
