Singer and actress Miley Cyrus has been cast in Hotel Transylvania, the upcoming 3D animation picture from Sony that also stars Adam Sandler as Dracula. Cyrus will voice the role of Sandler’s teenage daughter Mavis in the movie that follows the notorious vampire and his luxury hotel built for monsters. Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, Cee Lo Green and David Spade are also on board.
Issuing a statement about Hotel Transylvania, Sony shared what’s to come. “Here’s a little known fact about Dracula: he is not only the Prince of Darkness; he is also a dad. Over-protective of his teenage daughter, Mavis, Dracula fabricates tales of elaborate dangers to dissuade her adventurous spirit. As a haven for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more — can kick back in safety and peace.” Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, Hotel Transylvania will hit theaters next year.
In addition to this latest casting news surrounding Cyrus, she has also starred in Hannah Montana, The Suite Life on Deck, Disney 365, The Emperor’s New School, The Replacements, and more.
