Hulu’s Spoilers Season Finale Airs on August 6 and Will Debate if The Bourne Legacy Survived Without Matt Damon

Kevin Smith’s original Hulu series ‘Spoilers’ will air on Monday its first season finale. The filmmaker and actor will debate with the Spoilers if the action adventure thriller ‘The Bourne Legacy,’ which hits theaters on Friday, can survive without beloved franchise lead actor Matt Damon.

‘The Bourne Legacy’ is an expansion of the universe from Robert Ludlum’s novels. The fourth film in the series is based on the book of the same name, written by Eric Van Lustbader. The movie was written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who penned the first three ‘Bourne’ films.

‘The Bourne Legacy’ takes place in the wake of Jason Bourne’s dismemberment of Operation Blackbriar. The CIA decides to dispose of their other black ops programs, which includes the termination of their field agents. However, Aaron Cross, played by Jeremy Renner, an agent from Operation Outcome, escapes from being executed. With the help of an Outcome scientist, Dr. Marta Shearing, portrayed by Rachel Weisz, Aaron sets out to expose the crimes of his superiors.

Since it first premiered in June, ‘Spoilers’ has given viewer insightful commentary on some of the summer’s biggest films, including ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘Prometheus’ and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man.’ Smith has spoken with such Hollywood personalities as Carrie Fisher, Stan Lee and John Favreau.
