The new poster for the upcoming theatrical release of ‘Monsters, Inc. 3D’ has been released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The animated comedy adventure, which features the voices of such actors as John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, John Ratzenberger and Bonnie Hunt, will be released on December 19.

Directed by Pete Docter and written by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson, ‘Monsters, Inc.’ is one of Disney-Pixar’s most beloved and visually imaginative feature films. The Academy Award-winning movie, which was originally released in theaters on November 2, 2001, is set in Monstropolis, a thriving company town where monsters of all shapes and sizes live.

‘Monsters, Inc. 3D,’ which was co-directed by Lee Unkrich and David Silverman, follows Sulley, voiced by Goodman, and his wisecracking best friend Mike Wazowski, voiced by Crystal. The two are the top scare team at Monsters, Inc., the largest scream-processing factory. The main power source in the monster world is the collected screams of human children. The team at Monsters, Inc. is responsible for gathering those natural resources.

Monsters believe children are toxic, so they’re strictly forbidden from entering Monstropolis. But when a little girl, Boo, voiced by Mary Gibbs, accidentally follows Sulley back into his world, his career is in jeopardy and his life in in chaos. So with the help of Mike, Sulley plots to rectify his mistake and return Boo home. But when the three encounter an unexpected series of complications, they become involved in a cover-up.
