Official Trailer for Romantic Supernatural Film Beautiful Creatures Released

The official trailer for the upcoming romantic supernatural drama ‘Beautiful Creatures’ has been released. The film, which stars Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann, Zoey Deutch and Alden Ehrenreich, is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2013.

‘Beautiful Creatures,’ which is based on the first novel in the New York Times best-selling series of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is an intense coming-of-age love story set in the small Southern town of Gatlin. The film follows local boy Ethan Wate, played by Ehrenreich, and a mysterious new girl, Lena Duchannes, portrayed by Deutch, who uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town. Ethan has been looking forward to the day when he can leave Gatlin. However, he’s haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he’s never met. Lena then moves into the town’s oldest and most infamous platation, and Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her. He sets out to uncover the connection between them.

Lena is struggling to conceal her power and a curse that has plagued her family for generations. But her secret isn’t destined to remain hidden forever in Gatlin.

To help promote ‘Beautiful Ceatures,’ which was written and directed by Richard LaGravenese, Ehrenreich and Deutch will be participating in New York Comic Con in October and in the Miami Book Fair on November 17. Garcia and Stohl will be participating in the Austin Teen Book Festival on Saturday.
