First Poster and Trailer From Jay Woelfel’s Season of Darkness Released

The first official trailer, poster and production stills from writer-director Jay Woelfel’s upcoming sci-fi horror film, ‘Season of Darkness,’ have been released. The ‘Closed for the Season’ filmmaker returns to the horror genre with his latest movie by exclusively shooting ‘Season of Darkness’ on 35mm film, in order to enhance the dark atmosphere.

‘Season of Darkness’ focuses on a protagonist who is an escaped mental patient, Dwight Stroud, played by Nick Baldasare. While he finds release daunting and strange, the public believes he’s a successful motivation speaker named Artemus Finch. Unsure of what’s real and what’s imagined, Dwight eases into his new role as Finch. But he finds there’s a price to pay for his new fame and loving wife, Ellen, portrayed by Amanda Howell. Faceless figures pursue him and threaten his love for Ellen. Dwight is forced to fight succumbing to his madness.
