Go behind-the-scenes of the upcoming action crime drama ‘Dead Man Down’ in a new featurette from the film. The featurette includes interviews with several of the movie’s lead actors, including Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace and Terrence Howard, as well as director Niels Arden Oplev. The interviews are inter-cut with scenes from the film, which is set to be released on March 8, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the actors and the director working together.

Farrell praised the hard-working filmmaker, saying Oplev is relentless and uncompromising. The actor added that he was familiar with the director’s work before he signed onto ‘Dead Man Down,’ as he saw the original Danish version of ‘The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo (2009)’ that Oplev helmed. The actor also said that Oplev could do anything, and he wouldn’t move on from a scene unless he was completely happy with the way it turned out. Farrell praised Oplev by saying he had complete trust in him while working with him.

Oplev also spoke of ‘The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo,’ saying it was a natural continuation to once work with Rapace, who portrayed lead character Lisbeth Salander in the original ‘Millennium’ trilogy, again. The director added that ‘Dead Man Down’ had the ingredients he was looking for in American cinema, including revenge, action and a story that he hasn’t seen before. The story, which was written by J.H. Wyman, also has plot twists and turns he didn’t expect.

Rapace also praised Oplev, saying he was committed to ‘Dead Man Down’ 150 percent. She added that she loved working with him again, as they had the same vision. Howard added that the director works in a way that’s hypnotic, and he has a creative spirit and an eye for the imaginative.
