Actor Kevin James’ overall deal with Lionsgate will bring the ‘Kings and Queens’ star back to TV. Similar to a deal Charlie Sheen brokered with his hit series ‘Anger Management’, James will be doing the same as he is set to produce and star in a 10/90 comedy for the Lionsgate leg, Debmar-Mercury. The deal gives the upcoming comedy a 10-episode order with the possibility of a 90-episode back order if the show manages to score promising ratings.

So far the studio has yet to reveal details behind the script with Deadline suspect that Kevin James is sure to have a hand in the project’s storyline. Since becoming an actor James has also moved on to working behind the scenes, as he is credited for penning the comedy movie ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop’, ‘Zookeeper’ and ‘Here Comes the Boom’. James will appear next in the 2014 release ‘Little Boy’. The comedy drama comes from director Alejandro Monteverde and follows a young American boy who struggles to achieve the impossible when he sets out to bring his father back from World War II.
