In A New York Minute Exclusive Poster

ShockYa is exclusively premiering the poster for co-writer-director Ximan Li’s drama, ‘In A New York Minute.’

Offering a realistic, and equally entertaining, look into relationships isn’t always an easy task for filmmakers. But Ximan Li, who made her feature writing and directorial debuts on the new drama, ‘In A New York Minute,’ did just that with the upcoming movie.

In honor of the project, which creates an intimate character study that interprets love from three different points of view, having its World Premiere at the 2019 Newport Beach Film Festival, ShockYa is exclusively premiering its poster. After the movie has its World Premiere on Sunday, April 28, it will then screen during the 2019 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

Based on a Chinese short story, ‘In A New York Minute’ is notable for having an Asian and Asian American-led cast. Li also led a female-driven production crew on the feature, which stars Celia Au, Amy Chang, Yi Liu, Ludi Lin and Cheng Pei Pei.

‘In A New York Minute’ follows three strangers as they accidentally discover the solution to their problems lies in a single pregnancy test. Amy (Chang) is haunted by a past breakup that has manifested into an eating disorder. Angel (Liu) is caught between a loveless marriage to an American business man and a passionate affair with a Chinese writer. Nina (Au) moonlights as an escort in order to support herself.
