According to the site, the critics gave the film a 69% fresh rating, and this time, the critics were being lenient. The audience gave the film a lower rating of 66%. Ben Stiller has signed onto direct 20th Century Fox’s upcoming horror film ‘The Mountain,’ Deadline is reporting. The movie, which was written by Helen Childress, who also scripted Stiller’s 1994 directorial debut ‘Reality Bites,’ is based on characters from the Edith Wharton novel ‘Summer.’ ‘The Mountain,’ which is being produced by Stiller and his Red Hour partner Stuart Cornfeld, will be set in the 1900s. It follows a young woman who struggles to confront her destiny after she discovers a mysterious object that forces her to examine her past. In the film, Stiller, Murphy and a gang of tower staffers try to steal money from a Wall Street fatcat who didn’t pay the money the staff was owed. In an admission that will come as a considerable disappointment to a former coworker (who, for the record, is decidedly not Goth), my initial memories of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” were somewhat fuzzy.
