According to CinemaBlend and Deadline, Famke Janssen is set to play the leader of a band of witches in the film, “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters”. The film, also starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as Hansel and Gretel, follows the brother and sister duo fifteen years after their incident at the gingerbread house as children. The Hollywood Reporter.com is reporting that Dante Harper has been attached to work on the script for the action/horror project “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.” Tommy Wirkola, who directed and co-wrote the Nazi zombie horror comedy “Dead Snow” is directing the project for both Paramount and Gary Sanchez Productions. The film will be about the classic fairy tale siblings after their gingerbread house experience, which inspires them to become a witch-hunting duo.
