Adriann Palicki is the latest actress to sign on to appear in Paramount’s upcoming ‘G.I. Joe’ sequel, ‘G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes,’ Reelzchannel is reporting. The former ‘Friday Night Lights’ star will portray Lady Jaye, the team’s covert operations specialist. As in the Marvel comic books, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have include Lady Jaye’s romance with Flint, who will be portrayed by D.J. Cotrona in the film. Paramount Pictures has teamed up with Yahoo!Movies to present online viewers a live stream of the U.S. premiere of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” in New York City. The livestream of the red carpet event will occur June 28 at 5:30 pm EST at Yahoo!Movies’ “Transfomers” livestream page. Along with watching the live coverage, fans will also be able to interact with each other through social media. After watching the premiere, fans will be able to go to participating theaters and watch the film in 3D at 9 pm local time on June 28. The film will open everywhere at midnight, June 29. Megan Fox and John C. Reilly have both been cast in cameo roles in the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen comedy ‘The Dictator,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not much information has been revealed about what roles the two will be portraying in the Paramount movie that’s currently filming in New York. The official site for the Marvel/Paramount film “Captain America: The First Avenger” is now up and running! The site, captainamerica.marvel.com, is very slick and engrossing, similar to how the site for the 2009 “Star Trek” reboot was. Also similar to the “Star Trek” site are the types of immersing experiences you can have once on the site. Elodie Yung is currently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming action sequel ‘G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. The French actress would appear as the G.I. Joe team member Jinx, a martial arts expert who has familial ties to a ninja clan. ‘Step Up 2′ director Jon Chu is slated to direct the action sequel based on the popular Hasbro toy franchise. J.J. Abrams has confirmed that the sequel to his hit 2009 film ‘Star Trek’ will be the next project he’ll work on, Cinema Blend is reporting. The news comes as his latest sci-fi directorial effort, ‘Super 8,’ is set to hit theaters on June 10, 2011. Paramount, the studio behind the first ‘Star Trek,’ has promised to release the sequel on June 29, 2012. Paramount is in negotiations to distribute the upcoming family film ‘The Hauntrepreneur,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. The horror thriller will be produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller’s production company Platinum Dunes.
