Fansshare has the scoop on the newest details about “The Dark Knight Rises.” According to the site, Morgan Freeman has opened up about the film and what the most exciting things about the film are for him. “The most exciting thing about it is watching the openings, I’m telling you,” he said. “Don it, it’s fun to work with Chris [Christopher] Nolan. All of us who are fans of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” movie series are waiting with bated breath for anything related to the next film or the franchise in general. While more information about “The Dark Knight Rises” comes out, MTV Splash Page is reporting on a Slash Film article about some newly-released Joker footage. I do have to say that I probably misled you with the title of this article, since there is no Joker footage in “Rises,” however, I’m sure this is something you haven’t seen before. The footage is a bit of unused film from “The Dark Knight.” In the footage, we can see more of Heath Ledger’s…

Christian Bale has said that with the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ shoot finished, he has no plans to reprise his role of the Caped Crusader in a fourth Batman movie, the Huffington Post is reporting. The Academy Award-winning actor said “I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that (Batman hood) off.” Bale’s statement comes after he said in 2010 that unless director Christopher Nolan said otherwise, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ would be the last time he played Batman. The actor added that ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will be the end of his Batman era with Nolan, who together successfully rebooted the series in…

Happy Sunday! Or should I say, happy Harry Potter week? After seven days of madness courtesy of the grand finale of the eight-film franchise, the web world is drenched in Potter news, discussion pieces, lists, photos and more. Not only did we get a look at The Amazing Spider-Man and Underworld: Awakenings, but Total Recall and The Hobbit, too. It was also a busy week for trailers as far too many debuted to even squeeze into this Cheat Sheet….

Twilight fans are watching their precious commodity get dominated by Harry Potter. “Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ is now the owner of the all-time opening day record on the domestic front with an amazing $92.1 million gross on Friday. Twilight: New Moon set the bar high two years ago with $72.7 million, whose same installment fell victim to the midnight opening record just 36 hours ago. Warner Bros.’ wands now point to The Dark Knight – also their property – who in all likelihood will see its all-time domestic opening weekend mark ($158.4 million) fall to the Potter finale. At this pace, DH: 2 could end up grossing anywhere between $175-190…

Strangely, the box office chatter about possible record-breakers seemingly excluded “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.” Well all that is about to change. The final Potter flick trounced the all-time opening midnight record set by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ($30 million and change) with a magnificent $43.5 million. This guy was on the seen in Tampa, FL and saw costumed lines forming around 6 p.m. for the highly-anticipated midnight opening at local theaters. Let’s just say it was the perfect storm with a heralded franchise finale, along with 3D ticket prices. Budgeted at $250 million, attention now turns to the all-time domestic opening weekend record held by 2008′s…

So in the effort to offer an alternate preview – and to kind of contradict myself – here’s a look at the 2011 summer flicks that yours truly believes will venture into the coveted $300…
