Jason Statham sure is a hard-working man! He’s got a new movie coming out in the coming months called “Safe,” and the trailer for the action/thriller is now out for his fans and the rest of the public to see. Make sure to check it out, along with the poster for the film, below the post. Here’s the synopsis for “Safe”: “A second-rate cage fighter on the mixed martial arts circuit, Luke Wright lives a numbing life of routine beatings and chump change…until the day he blows a rigged fight. Wanting to make an example of him, the Russian Mafia murders his family and banishes him from his life forever,…

The “Harold & Kumar” movie series is currently getting ready to get in the Christmas spirit with “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” but Lionsgate is also shopping an animated television show around to potential buyers. According to The Hollywood Reporter and sources close to the project, John Co and Kal Penn, the stars of the movies, are set to reprise their roles for the animated show, and the scriptwriters behind “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz will write the show’s script. Even though Lionsgate has gotten many offers for the show, the studio hasn’t made an official deal yet. There’s been an…

After months of speculation and wondering, the red band trailer for “21 Jump Street” has finally been released! The trailer was put on the film’s official Facebookpage, and, having seen at least one episode of the original “21 Jump Street,” I think it’s fair to say that there’s a very big difference in tone from the show, which made Johnny Depp a household name. The film stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as doofus cops who look young enough to pass for high schoolers, so they’re enrolled in an revived undercover cop unit: “In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready…

Firefighters are people who are close to Denis Leary’s heart–his cousin and childhood friend were firefighters, and tragically, his cousin, friend and four other firefighters were killed in a 1999 Worchester, Mass. fire. Leary, who also played a firefighter in “Rescue Me,” along with Jim Serpico, his partner at his production company Apostle, will executive produce the feature film “BURN,” a documentary about Detroit firefighters directed by Tom Putnman and Brenna Sanchez. The film is looking to show at the 2012 winter festival circuit and there are plans for a theatrical release. In order to help fund the documentary, Leary and the team behind the film have created a Kickstarter…

Halloween is the perfect time to watch some devil possession films, and “The Devil Inside” fits the bill perfectly. If you feel like being scared, check out the trailer for the film below. Also, make sure to take a look at the provocative First Look image and the Living Poster. No matter what you look at, all of it is sure to give to the willies. The film, starring Fernanda Andrade, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth and Suzan Crowley, involves a woman who has been locked away for murdering several people and the mystery of whether or not she’s actually possessed: “In 1989, emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call from Maria…

With quality shows like Mad Men, The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad on the roster, why not take a chance on a brand new AMC show? Hell on Wheels is a post-Civil War story that focuses on Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), an ex-Confederate soldier whose wife is murdered by Union military men. Desperate for revenge, Cullen winds up heading west and shacking up in a town that services the first transcontinental railroad. In honor of the show’s November 6th premiere, AMC’s got a brand new trailer for you to check out. Naturally, the 30-second video provides a solid overview of what’s to come in season one, but the website is…

The buzz is slowly growing around the new film “Young Adult,” starring Charlize Theron and written by “Juno” writer Diablo Cody. I think one of the draws of this film will be who will be the bigger star in the film–Theron, or Cody, since this film marks her return to film writing since “Jennifer’s Body,” starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried (before and after the film, Cody has taken to television writing, with “The United States of Tara” and “Children’s Hospital” being among her resume). The trailer for the film is below the post. You can learn more about the film at YoungAdultMovie.com as at the film’s official Facebook page…

The other day, we reported on the cast and crew of “The Raven” celebrating author Edgar Allan Poe’s life and the anniversary of his death. Some new pictures are out from the celebration, which involve wrapped cars, mannequins and trash cans with “RIP EAP” printed on them. They’re a little jarring, to be sure, which goes with the theme of celebrating the macabre author’s life. Also, below the post is the trailer which premiered Friday. Here’s the official synopsis of “The Raven”: “Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack, ‘Being John Malkovich’) joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans, ‘Immortals’) to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s…

The official red band trailer for director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.’s recreation of John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ has been dropped to the web. The October release is nabbing a mix of opinions. While some are concerned about remaking such a production, others question whether Matthijs’ attempts where successful judging by the sneak peek. The movie, written by Eric Heisserer and John W. Campbell Jr. The featured cast includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Joel Edgerton of Warrior fame, and Ulrich Thomsen (The left Wing Gang). Watch the red band below and tell us what you think? “Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home…

I’m already on board for Andrea Arnold’s “Wuthering Heights,” since this is the first film adaptation of the book to actually use the book’s description of Heathcliff, i.e. casting a dark-skinned man to play a dark-skinned man. So the trailer, which has been released, will have to do nothing to convince me to go see it. But, if you haven’t heard about the film, check out the trailer, featured below, to see what you think. I’ll tell you right now–don’t expect any typical interpretation of the early 19th century. It’s not presented as if it’s a far-off time that nobody can identify with. The trailer is stark, naturalistic, gritty, and…
