Brenna Lee Roth

1. Please tell us a bit about your background. Where are you from and what inspired you to become an actress?

I started modeling when I was 8, from there I decided to go to collage for theatre. I fell in love with theatre, and then got some chances to do short films and Indie films here in Ohio. I still love theatre, but film gets to the masses, I like knowing people watch my art.

2. Who is your biggest influence as an actress?

Audrey Hepburn, Julia Stiles, Angelina Jolie, several others I can’t think of off the top of my head, but really any actress that can play many roles.

3. Tell us about your latest films “Poultrygeist” and “Horror Convention Massacre”.

Poultrygeist was filmed last summer in buffalo NY. It’s about people that eat bad chicken and become zombies, but of course there is the regular Troma stuff too like tits, singing, and dancing.

Horror Convention Massacre was awesome to make. We just finished filming a few weeks ago. I had the pleasure to work with Lew Temple, Ari Lehman, and several other great actors. It’s about someone (shhh!) that slaughters people during a horror convention. We had great cameos as well, from some really funny guests at Cinema Wasteland.

4. I understand that you are also making an appearance in “Spider Man 3”, tell us about that!

Yeah I make an appearance in Spiderman 3. It was so awesome to work with Dan Bradly. I’m not supposed to talk about my role, but it’s hot and I’m not a villain. Maybe a bad guy, but not a villain.

4. How is it now that people recognize you in public?

I used to think it was cool, now it’s sort of a hassle. I always have to wear makeup now in case someone walks up to me at the park with a camera. I only hate when someone takes a picture of me kissing my dude. oh! and, I never used to wear shoes to like the store or anything, now I always have to so I don’t end up like Brittany Spears. That would be awful!

4. is it harder to date now that your “famous”?

No. I have a great boyfriend (filmmaker David Litz) that is just as busy as me. We both don’t really like that people talk about us and I never like finding something out about him from the news, I’m sure he feels the same. It sucks that people ask him questions about me, and I hate when people ask me stuff about him. People ask me if we’re in Love, I haven’t told him yet, but i do love him. I could marry him today and be happy for the rest of my life.

5. Which has been your favorite roll to date?

Hum, guess I don’t have a favorite. I’m still waiting for it.

6. From an actors standpoint what is the most important thing a Director can bring to the set?

To Challenge their actors!!! A lot of times I will go back to Ohio and do an Indie, and the director won’t direct me in fear that I will walk out. It’s weird, like since I’ve done big films, now I can’t go back and do small films because people assume that I need all this stuff, but it’s not true. I can live in a tent on an Indie set just fine, and I don’t demand anything. And I say fuck the movie stars that do that.

7. Any future projects in the works? Give us the scoop!

I was asked to work with Charlie Band later this year, but I’m not sure if I’ll take it or not. I love him as a director. I worked with him for a Monster Bra thing a few months ago, and he was a great director, one of my favorites, but I don’t think I’m ready to live in LA right now.

8. What do you think makes a scary movie scary?

I donâ’t like scary movies, they are scary. But it seems like the really scary ones are the ones that could really happen, like the neighbor is the killer, and not monsters.

9. Do you have any advice for aspiring actors?

Go to College!!! You’ll get far in LA. Seriously!!!

10. When all is said and done, what 3 things would you like for people to remember about you?

That I’m not a bitch. I’m a good mother. That I challenged people to be better artists, and create from their heart.

11. Here’s where we give you a word or phrase and you give us the first thoughts that pop into your mind.

Toxic Shock TV (shameless plug):

Brian? I wonder how he would be in bed.

Worst Fear:

Getting Eye Fungus, choking on food in the Car.

Biggest regret:

Not screaming for Kenneth Hall when I auditioned for him in LA.

Biggest prick:

Kate Graham!!! From Poultrygeist, so the fuck what if you did theatre before. Nobody likes bitches. She was just a bitch to the gaffers and stuff, thought that the crew wasn’t as good as her. I say fuck her, and by the way, I ate lunch with the crew almost every day.

The funniest thing that has ever happened to you on a set:

Ron Jeremy showed me his dick and I laughed, not at his dick, just the fact that he would show me. And it wasn’t that big. It was average.

Your biggest “break-thru” moment:

Went to LA and accidentally had brunch with Johnny Grant the mayor of Hollywood, and he told me I should move there because I am a nice person and he needs more nice people there.

You can only watch three movies for the rest of your life, which three:

Snatch, Dog day afternoon, and Glen Gary Glen Ross.
