Yep its true, Fox intends to remake the 1951 sci-fi classic film “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and they plan to release it by May 9th, 2008. There is no confirmed stars or director as of yet, but rumor has it that Fox has considered Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Hellraiser: Inferno) to Direct.
