I AM LEGEND ending spoiled by Will Smith will now be changed

Several news networks are reporting that the original ending to “I Am Legend” was changed due to a leak by actor Will Smith at a recent press conference in Tokyo. Director Francis Lawrence told Sci Fi Wire last week in a press conference, “I don’t want to actually discuss the ending, just because I don’t want, I want people to make up their own minds, but maybe there’ll be an alternate version at some point.” So, what did Will Smith inadvertently leak? Who knows… The big news is that he leaked an ending, but I don’t think anyone has a clue on what he leaked…except maybe a few folks in Tokyo.

The film follows Robert Neville (Will Smith) a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague — The Infected — lurk in the shadows… watching Neville’s every move… waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered… and quickly running out of time.

The film premieres on December 14th in the US and Japan.

Here’s an I Am Legend ending we just found on… Don’t know how credible it is, but here it goes.

It turns out that society is living normally outside New York and that the virus never spread outside the city. The city has been quarantined. Pretty much he leaves New York and enters back into normal society.

Sounds a bit too much like 28 Days Later.

Brian Corder- I saw the movie last night In a sneak peak IMAX showing near my town, and that is definately NOT the ending!! The ending is somewhat unfulfilled but he does NOT return to society NOR does the virus STAY in the city. GO see it and judge for yourself, it seemed like 28 days later meets resident evil.

Earlier in the movie he captures a infected women and injects her with one of his antidotes and the effects didn’t work in till later. At the end of the movie fighting for a his life in the containment room where he kept the infected women he captured earlier he notices she is back to normal. He realizes that his cure takes a while to take effect and there he finds the cure. (Hint this was near the end of the movie.) The rest I leave to you

i don’t kow if u guyz know this but in another reaport or something it said that that director just reshoot the ending so it’s all changed. he wanted people to make up their own minds about the ending. which is the kind that i HATE the most.have to make up ur own mind about it…

There are two endings, the one shown in the cinema is when robert neville dies for the woman and child to escape and the alternate ending is where they all escape as the lead vampire sees that robert neville is trying to help and he takes the infected woman out.
