According to Corey Feldman, Lost Boys 2 may still have a fighting chance at a theatrical run. Here’s what he had to say on his site via Themovieblog.com.

“There is a nasty rumor circulating that a decision to release LB2 straight to DVD has been made…..THAT IS CATEGORICALLY UNTRUE!!! NO decision has been made as of yet. They will be voting on it next month so if you are a LB2 supporter and want to see it on the big screen now is the time to rise up and let the studio know by sending them your thoughts and concerns. There has been a lot of buzz about this and I just don’t want any defeatist or negative attitudes to hamper the positive energy. It is still alive…..”

The sequel to the 1987 cult hit The Lost Boys takes us to the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson (Hilgenbrink) and his younger sister, Nicole (Reeser). Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the locals way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gangs lifeline before his sisters transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog (Feldman). Subtle references to characters from the original film, and cameos from returning actors offer homage to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom.

  1. Lost Boys 2: The Tribe deserves a theatrical run because any attempt to recapture the emotional flair and style of the original Lost Boys deserves the chance to reach as many audiences as possible. Furthermore, this movie should be seen as it was intended; with a packed crowd in front of a monstrous screen.

  2. I think that Lost Boys 2 should go to theaters for two main reasons:

    1. I didn’t get to see Lost Boys 1 in theaters(too young)
    2. Lost Boys 1 is an amazing movie and this new movie deserves as much as a chance to be loved as the old one.

  3. The Lost Boys was such a pioneering movie for it’s generation; why shouldn’t the sequel be given the same respect as the first movie? If the movie is worthy of it’s predecessor then it should be given a theatrical release.

  4. To whom it may concern,

Think of your pocket books. Do it for a second. If
there is this much buzz over the sequel to a movie
made over two decades ago, consider what a theatrical
release, even limited, would do! I wasn’t even born
when the original came out, and I’ve already bought
three copies of the book and watched the movie many
    times.

Think of all the old fans, the ones yet to be
discovered, and your pocketbooks. Release Lost Boys 2
    to theaters.

  5. Please put this in theaters! I’m so excited to see this movie. I know its going to be great, so show the world!

  6. This movie definitely deserves the BIG SCREEN TREATMENT! Everyone who loved the original will be there opening weekend. Count on it!

  7. With all the junk that comes out for 1 week, and then fades away, we need a movie that has a great story, a fan favorite actor, an a loyal following.

I say bring Lost Boys 2 to the theaters. I will defiantly buy a ticket

  8. Come on seriously, this film needs to be released in Theatres. It would make so much money, everyone who loves the first will go see the second. Plus it will revive Feldman and Haim as box office stars in the new century. I even promise you I myself will see this film at the very elast twice in theatres with different people. Do the film and it’s actors the proper justice, make aot of money, and release this film theatrically.

    Thank you for you consideration,
    Paul Lucenti

P.S. If you need any actors to film an additional scene or for another movie, maybe Lost Boys 3, after this one dominates the box office, I would love to be a part of it.

  9. Hey guys, I love the original Lost Boys films incredibly. It is in fact my favorite vampire movie of all time and I’m sure I’m not alone in that statement. I want “Lost Boys: The Tribe” to appear on the big screen so badly mainly because it is an absolute classic and its sequel deserves a wide release to show to the masses how great the spirit of the Lost Boys is again. In addition, it’d really be wonderful to see Corey Feldman and Corey Haim back on the big screen again because when you go back and take a look at these two gentleman’s films they truly have an excellent talent and its about time they get a second shot at glory. I hope more fans continue to support this decision because it will only mean great things. Thanks for your time.

  10. Lost Boys 2 deserves the opportunity to go on the big screen

If you’re going to take the time to make a sequel to a GREAT movie back in the 80’s, that fans have been waiting for since then, then in the theatres put instead of sending it straight to dvd.

Stupid movies that arent worth anybody’s time were Prom Night, When a Stranger Calls, and so on and so forth

this movie is probably going to be the biggest movie in a really long time, and yes think of how big your friggin wallet is going to be when it does go out in theatres

you got some of the original actors in this movie from the original in 1987
    and thats a big plus

ALOT of fans are waiting to see this mput it on the big screen!ovie so PLEASE DON”T send it straight to dvd n
