Here’s another awesome new movie poster for the upcoming remake “Red Sonja” by director Douglas Aarniokoski ( Highlander: Endgame ) and starring Rose McGowan (Grindhouse) as Red Sonja. Robert Rodriguez (Sin City 2, Machete) of Troublemaker Studios will produce the film.
Synopsis: Rose McGowan steps into the boots of Robert E. Howard’s female warrior character, Red Sonja, in this Nu Image/Millennium Films production. Robert Rodriguez handles producing duties in this revamp of the barbarian babe whose tale was last seen on the screen in 1985’s tongue-in-cheek outing starring Brigitte Neilsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Hey Rose McGowan is great but one thing that made the old movie work was Brigitte Nielsen’s physicality made it almost her prowess almost believable. Rose is a pasty goth chick (nothing wrong with that, I love pasty goth chicks) who will need a lot of time in the gym to pull this off. I hope it works.
