Rumors at George Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch might be pointing to yet another movie joining the Star Wars franchise, as the popularity of the newly-released Star Wars universe game “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” has got tongues wagging. The Los Angeles Times’ “Hero Complex” blog talked recently with Hayden Blackman, the game’s project leader, about the possibility of the game, which features the rise of Darth Vader and his secret lost apprentice Starkiller immediately after the events of the film “Revenge Of The Sith,” hitting the silver screen. He told the paper;

“And it’s not impossible. Never say never. George [Lucas] has looked to tell new ‘Star Wars’ stories through the games and with the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe, and then he has also shown a willingness to let the characters come into the films. Look at Aayla Secura, a creation in the [Dark Horse} comic books who became part of the theatrical films.”

“Star Wars: The Force Unleashed”, which is being touted as a multimedia project consisting of the game itself as well as tie-in comics, a novel, and action figures stemming from the projects’ characters, was released in stores September 16th from LucasArts, following previous releases of the novelized form and graphic novel in August.
