Courtesy of Trailer Addict, check out the third and final TV spot for the upcoming film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, based on the hit Marvel Comics character, right here.

The film, starring Hugh Jackman as the titular character, delves into the mysterious past of Wolverine, aka Logan, the mutant hero and future X-Man with the superhuman healing factor and razor-sharp claws. It will focus on his relationship with his future nemesis Sabretooth, aka Victor Creed, his first true love, and his time with Weapon X, a mutant super-soldier program that coated his skeleton and claws in the unbreakable metal called adamantium.

Wolverine first premiered in 1974 and has since gone onto become one of Marvel’s most well-known characters, with his claws, gruff attitude, mysterious past, and connections to various other heroes and villains, including Weapon X, a government project that turned mutants like him into mindless killers. The character has appeared in almost every media adaptation of the X-Men and Marvel franchises, from other comics, books, cartoons, and video games. Hugh Jackman is the first actor to portray the character in a live-action film, starting with 2000’s “X-Men”.

“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, directed by Gavin Hood, stars Hugh Jackman, Live Schreiber, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, and more, and hits the theaters May 1st, 2009.
