According to the Sci Fi Wire, Robert Downey Jr. and Reese Witherspoon are in talks to star in a sci-fi time-travel thriller called “The Days Before”, with Timur Bekmambetov also in talks to take the director’s chair.
According to Production Weekly at Sci Fi Wire, the conquering aliens of the film travel back in time, day by day, eliminating humanity every day all the way back, and Downey Jr’s character must keep travelling back in time as well, trying to warn humanity before it’s too late and he runs out of time. Witherspoon’s role in the film has yet to be announced.
Robery Downey Jr, who recently appeared in “Iron Man” and “Tropic Thunder”, is set to appear in “The Soloist” this April with Jamie Fox, and Witherspoon will be appearing in the animated “Monsters Vs. Aliens” alongside Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogen, and Stephen Colbert.
No release date or film-start date has been released yet for “The Days Before”.
