TV star and funnyman Stephen Colbert is trying to expand his celebrity on an intergalactic level by asking his fans to write in his name for an online NASA election that will name a new room in the international space station.

Voters are given the option to name the room one of four things: Earthrise, Legacy, Serenity and Venture as the poll says the name “should reflect the spirit of exploration and cooperation embodied by the space station.” These options don’t include write-in responses.

Colbert, who felt his name applies to the situation, could gain enough votes to win, but NASA could overrule the decision since its voting rules state “the results are not binding and NASA reserves the right to ultimately select a name in accordance with the best interests of the agency, its needs and other considerations.”

“The Colbert Report” host already has a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor named after him: Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream, so it’s needless to say that fans with undoubtedly vote for him.

Voting is open until March 20th, and the winning name will be announced in April.
