  1. There was never any mention of gods in Avatar. It has more to do with spirituality based on East Asian philosophies.

Aang manipulates air not wind. And he was frozen for 100 years, not ‘thousands.”

If you want anyone to stay tuned you should give them the correct information. It would be extremely well advised to publish a correction on this article.

  2. What is with this god stuff??. Avatar always steered in a different direction which is what made it appealing, with it’s fresh different idea.
And Aang frozen for thousands of years, what’s that about??, why change a awesome idea that already is there. This is one of the biggest disappointments with great things, being translated in to movies. They never get it right, or change it so much for the so called appeal of the audiance that it becomes something totally different from the much loved original idea.

How could the creators of Avatar allow this?????

  3. Wow, before you write another article about The Last Airbender, you should know that the fans will rip your head off for messing up any of the facts. We are very dedicated and protective of the tv series, so next time triple check you facts and make sure you leave nothing important out.

  4. I agree with everything that has been said prior. You are taking possibly one of the best stories ever told and changing some of the most important facts about that story. I really hope that the writers of this article got their information wrong and the creators of Avatar are not letting them make these drastic changes to the story. Thousands of years…. ha….. tool of the gods…. double ha… don’t f this up Shyamalan. Just follow a great story that doesn’t need changing. It’s been told once already, and we as fans love it. It doesn’t need big changes. If you can’t adapt it to live action, then maybe you shouldn’t be doing it.

  5. Some of the facts are wrong in this and Aang wasn’t frozen for thousands of years if cud correct the mistakes

  6. The tool of the spirits if anything not gods… he’s the bridge between the spirit world and the real world… gods aren’t mentioned in Avatar and i think others have pointed out the “thousands of years thing

  7. BOYCOTT “The Last Airbender” movie! The producers chose white actors to play the heroes when originally they were based on Asians and Inuits. And they cast dark-skinned Indian and Persian actors for the villains when originally these characters were light-skinned Asians! THE MOVIE CAST IS RACIST! Please visit racebending.com for more information!

  8. I reallly hope the dont mess this up. part of me wants to see it the day it comes out but the otherside wants to wait and see from other Avatar fans if the movie ruins the series. If it is messed up, I’m not seeing it!

  9. Oh and second of all the main actors are NOT white. Have you seen the cast yet? if you havent go to http://www.imdb.com and look up the movie, then you can come back and talk about how racist Avatar is.

  10. I wish you guys would stop going nuts and wait and see how it turns out…it could actually turn out good….ever thought about that?…either way you’ll still be able to go back to original
