Multiple sources, according to Entertainment Weekly, are reporting that Fox will not be renewing “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” for a third season, though a studio representative insists that the show isn’t cancelled and that no decisions about the show have been made yet.

The show, which picks up after “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” and follows a teenage John Connor, Sarah Connor, and the converted female Terminator Cameron as they take the fight to Skynet, was the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-08 television season and was renewed for a second season that began September 8, 2008 and just ended April 10, 2009. Creatd by Josh Friedman (“Chain Reaction,” “The Black Dahlia”), it stars Lena Hadey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as John Connor, Summer Glau as the Terminator Cameron, and Brian Austin Green as Derek Reese.

A final decision will be announced May 18th, 2009.
