Slashfilm has a brand-new picture from the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan adaptation of the Nickelodon cartoon “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. You can see the picture of Dev Patel as the fire-manipulating Prince Zuko below.
“The Last Airbender” stars Noah Ringer as Aang, Dev Patel as Zuko, Nicola Peltz as Katara, Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) as Sokka, Cliff Curtis as Ozai, Shaun Taub as Iroh, and Aasif Mandvi as Zhao. Based roughly on the first season of the cartoon, the film follows named Aang, a wind manipulator called an Airbender and last of his kind. He and his friends set out to stop the conquering armies of the flame-controlling Firebenders from overtaking the world. The film is set to debut in theaters July 2nd, 2010 with a trailer said to be attached before “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.

Don’t really care who they cast as long as they can act. However Zuko’s scar is supposed to extremely noticeable, I had to track the picture down again just to make sure he even had one in the first place.

It’s called “bending” not “manpulating”, if you haven’t seen the show at least do your research.
hmm well I can def see a scar there but I guess they just decided to make it less apparent so that all the little kiddies who are going to go see this movie aren’t going to be scared out of their wits by an overly deformed face. He looks pretty good but I’m prepared to see this be raped like dragonball was (NOT MAKING AN AVATAR/DRAGONBALL COMPARISON) and I have never seen slumdog millionaire so I have no idea of that boy’s acting capability. I hope sokka won’t be too corny and I can’t wait to see little momo and appa!

Clima….I can say I’m exited to see the movie, but I don’t really expect much from it. The only thing that I am truly grateful for is that somebody who has actually seen the series and above all likes it is directing the movie…..there can be nothing worst than the opposite, example: Harry Potter movies. Great movies, have absolutely nothing to do with the books…..
i am really disapointed by this picture. is anyone else in love with Zuco?? because i am and he does NOT look like that. and the scar needs to be more noticable. and i havent seen any pictures of aang and i really want to, but thats exciting that avatar comercials are going to be before transformers because everybody and their dog ae going to go see that movie the day it comes out, so thats good avitar publicity!! GO AANG!!
