Columbia Pictures recently released this new movie still featuring John Cusack in the upcoming film “2012” by director Roland Emmerich (All Quiet on the Western Front, Fantastic Voyage) and starring Thandie Newton (W.), John Cusack (Stopping Power, 1408), Amanda Peet and Danny Glover as President Wilson.
Synopsis: Disaster movie maven Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) crafts this apocalyptic sci-fi thriller following an academic researcher who opens a portal into a parallel universe, making contact with his double in an effort to prevent the catastrophic prophecies of the ancient Mayan calendar from coming to pass. According to the Mayan calendar, the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. When a global cataclysm thrusts the world into chaos, divorced writer and father Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) uses his knowledge of the ancient prophecies to ensure that the human race is not completely wiped out. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt round out the cast of this end of the world thriller co-scripted by the director and his 10,000 B.C. writer/composer Harald Kloser. – Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

OMFG>>>>>>> This is so gay… the mayan calendar neversays that says the world is going to end. it just says it is the end of the great cycle. it never says that a catastrophic disaster is going to happen. i mean… who ever said that the mayans could tell the future. besides… even though it says that all of this was supposedly going to pappen… did anyone really pay attention to the fact that none of this was foretold until AFTER the events happended? this whole thing is about the biggest line of BULLSHIT that i have scene. sure… it mite be a good movie… but it is just a movie…that is it. quit saying that the damn world is going to end because of it…

I think its awsome that a movie was made about the popular day December 21st 2012 everyone knows about it which will make this movie even more thrilling when watching it! Im so excited that John cusack has the major role in it im sure he played it very well. I cant wait to see it. Ok christopher michael when did u become God??? You have no clue and they never said this is whats going to happen , its just what the mayans are saying will happen so they made a movie based on that. I think its truly a good idea and smart because there will definately be a lot of money made off of it just because the world ending is one of those subjects we dont really like to talk about but is always in the back of our minds. Cant wait to see it!!!.

I watched it AND was awsome!!!! i need to say it again that the producers never said the world Is gonna end they just wrote a movie about what the mayans are predicting TO HAPPEN, if people take that out of context then watever people will believe watever they want to but i thought it was great!! John cusack was amazing!! i loved him in 1408 but he did an awsome job getting into his character it was very real on his part, and he still made some parts comical in a serious movie, i love when an actor can do that. I give him 2,012 cudos!! lol
