In a recent MTV interview with writer Melissa Rosenberg, Melissa reveals one of Rachelle Lefevre’s final scenes in the upcoming film “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer. New Moon stars Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Kristen Stewart (Adventureland, The Runaways), Nikki Reed (K-11), Ashley Greene (Skateland), Taylor Lautner, (My Own Worst Enemy), Jackson Rathbone (S. Darko) Dakota Fanning and Kellan Lutz.

Film Synopsis: After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

I don’t understand this. Victoria is NOT in New Moon. She’s seen ONCE, and it’s by Bella, after she’s rescued by Jacob after jumping off of a cliff, so it’s fair to say she doesn’t see her quite so clearly. How is Rachelle in this movie? Did they mutate the book into a script THAT MUCH?!
Obviously, they added a scene for Rachelle. Not every book and movie have to be identical, they can add or remove different scenes.

I thought that was quite clear when she says Victoria was talking to them.
And she says that because its a movie they are able to see more of what Victoria was doing the whole time because the whole movie DOESNT have to be from bella POV!
They have to have her in the movie because if they don’t explain why she’s mad at bella, then the third movie isn’t going to make sense to people who haven’t read the books. It would be really weird if the entire third movie was about someone trying to kill bella and we didn’t see her at all in the second movie… people wouldn’t know where the character came from.
I’m actually glad they wrote Victoria into the script. She is a huge part of New Moon even if you don’t see her.
I think what they have done is to show the scenes where the wolves are chasing her..It is like Lord of The Rings, where Arwen was concerned to make the love story between her and Aragorn more intense they added scenes that were not in the book. It is hard to believe visually that Bella is in danger when we don’t get to see the danger,,,as we all knows books allow us to visualize them seeing her as they chase her…now they are just adjusting it that way
i think Rachelle was replaced because the crew thought she would be doing another project and wouldnt be available to play victoria, but they replaced her without confirming her schedule.
OH WTF?!?!!? This “scene” was not even in the movie! Not after the credits or anything!!!!
