Hollywood Snitch is reporting that Edward James Olmos (“Battlestar Galactica”) will be joining the cast of Michel Gondry’s “The Green Hornet” alongside Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz.
It is unknown what role Olmos will play in the film, an adaptation of the comic and radio show character who was created in 1936. Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day, becomes the crimefighter known as the Green Hornet by night, with his chauffeur Kato also fighting by his side as his partner.
The film is set for a July 9, 2010 release.
