Screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin has been hired to write “Rainbow Bridge”, the DreamWorks adaptation of the Japanese cult hit “Resurrection.” Bruce Joel Rubin is also well know for such scripts as Ghost, Jocob’s Ladder and Deep Impact.
Directed by Akihiko Shiota, the original 2003 film follows a town that is thrown into shock when various dead former residents come back to life, but instead of being stereotypical zombies and ghouls, simply go about their former lives.
Brad Krevoy, Mike Callaghan and Tetsu Fujimura are producing the remake alongside Shiota.
