The New York Times recently interviewed director Olive Stone, where he gave a few hints about the upcoming “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”, the sequel to the 1987 film starring Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen and that is due in theaters April 23rd, 2010.

Stone gave a bit of a synopsis about the film and also dropped that Charlie Sheen’s character from the first film, Bud Fox, makes a cameo appearance to try to warn Jake Moore (Shia LaBeouf), the latest protege of Douglas’s unscrupulous businessman Gekko.

Josh Brolin, Frank Langella, Carey Mulligan, and Susan Sarandon are all set to star in the film.

Shooting for the project is beginning this week in New York City.
