Despite rumors, Heat Vision is reporting that Nicolas Cage won’t be starring as a villain in “The Green Hornet” from Columbia Pictures and director Michel Gondry , having walked away from the production that’s already started filming in Los Angeles after negotiations fell through. No footage of Cage had been shot yet.
Columbia is planning a December 17th, 2010 release for the adaptation of “The Green Hornet”, an adaptation of the superhero franchise based on the radio serial of the 1930’s. The film, about a newspaper publisher who along with his chauffeur/sidekick, fight crime at night as The Green Hornet and Kato, stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour and Tom Wilkinson.
