Vera Farmiga (“Up in the Air”) and Michelle Monaghan (“Eagle Eye”) are set to join Jake Gyllenhaal in Duncan Jones’ upcoming sci-fi time-travel thriller “Source Code” for Summit Entertainment.

The film is about a soldier who becomes part of a secret government program investigating a terrorist incident. He finds his mind transferred into the body of a commuter who must relive the day of the attack over and over until he can find out who is responsible and how to prevent it from happening.

Farmiga will play a control-room communications officer monitoring Gyllenhaal, and Monaghan is slated to play a woman on that fateful train who is romantically involved with the mysterious commuter Gyllenhall is “inhabiting”.

“Source Code” is scheduled to begin filming this March.

Stay tuned to for more on this project.
