Christopher Kyle (“K-19: The Widowmaker,” “Alexander”) has been attached to adapt the best-selling novel “The Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending,” by author Jon Land.

The book is about the adopted son of an Italian crime lord, Michael “The Tyrant” Tiranno. Michael is called upon by his family to defend a family holding, a literal gambling mecca, from terrorist attacks.

Land himself describes the story as the first in a series of James Bond-like adventures starring Tiranno, and that it partially draws from the life story of Fabrizio Boccardi, the investor, producer and CEO of King Midas World Entertainment in Las Vegas.

Moritz Borman will produce the adaptation, and Peter Graves has signed on to act as executive producer.
