John Moore (“Max Payne”, “The Omen”, “Behind Enemy Lines”) is attached to direct “Final Orbit”, the 20th Century Fox adaptation of the Platinum Studios graphic novel adapted by Phil De Blasi and Byron Willinger.
Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Motion Pictures is co-developing and producing the film.
“Final Orbit” is about a group of lottery winners who are vacationing on the International Space Station. However, when the space station becomes damaged and everyone realizes that there are no real astronauts on board, the vacation becomes a nightmare, with the tourists trapped in a crippled and dying module with no help, and no escape.
The acquisition of the rights to the graphic novel was announced in 2008. No casting, distribution information, or release date has been released yet.
