It’s been nearly three years, but Shrek has finally returned. The trailer for the franchise’s fourth installment, Shrek Forever After, is set to precede How to Train Your Dragon when it hits theaters on March 26th, but thanks to Yahoo, you won’t have to wait until then to see it for yourself.

The film features our favorite ogre-turned-family man. Struggling with the loss of his brutish reputation, he cuts a deal with Rumplestiltskin. Unfortunately the arrangement is a scam and Shrek finds himself stuck in an alternate version of Far Far Away where Rumplestiltskin is king and none of his pals even know who he is.

Personally, I’m not much of a Shrek fan. The first two are certainly good films, they just didn’t strike a cord with me as they did with most moviegoers. The third, on the other hand, is undeniably a moneymaker and nothing more. Well, it did the studio justice and now we’re presented with yet another installment, Shrek Forever After. The trailer is decent but doesn’t have enough pizzazz to liken it to the original two films as opposed to the third. Check it out for yourself below:
