Zac Efron is attached to star in and produce a remake of the Swedish film “Snabba Cash” for Warner Bros.
Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment are producing the project alongside the original film’s producer Fredrik Wikstrom. Michael Hjorth will be executive producing.
The thriller “Snabba” was based on a novel by Jens Lapidus, following three interconnected storylines involving drugs and organized crime. The main story follows a young man, who will be played in the Warner Bros. version by Efron, hoping to strike it rich quick by becoming a runner for a coke dealer (played in the original by Joel Kinnaman).
