Anthony Hopkins is in final negotiations to join the cast of “Arabian Nights” as the film’s main villain.
Chuck Russell is directing the the action adventure which is about a young military commander (Liam Hemsworth) joins the bandit forces of Sinbad, Ali Baba and the Genie of the magic lamp after his king is killed in a brutal coup. Together they all band together to rescue the beautiful queen Scheherazade. Hopkins would play the evil sorcerer Pharotu, whom Sinbad has a grudge against for killing his true love, a mermaid.
The film was written by Russell and Barry P. Ambrose, with Inferno’s Bill Johnson producing alongside Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray of Mayhem Pictures.
