Now this is a teaser trailer. When’s the last time you’ve watched a teaser trailer that actually did function as a teaser and didn’t divulge the entire plot? It’s certainly been quite a while for me because this brand new teaser trailer for The Social Network seems like the most innovative thing I’ve ever seen.

This video frustratingly keeps The Social Network just out of arm’s reach. It includes zero footage and merely consists of a series of text backed by quotes from the film. Combine that with a booming regal horn accompaniment and you’ve got something that’s tantalizing to the max. Even better? The teaser actually makes me appreciate that first poster. What once wasn’t quite visually stimulating enough has become this alluring piece of promo material’s partner in crime. October 1st, 2010 is starting to feel like ages away.
